…they don’t go well together, but under the circumstances I must say that the effects are much much nicer as I grow older. Probably because ‘pletok’ is no longer on the menu these days. Hahaha…
To cut the long story short I had too much fun last night at Tommy’s party but thankfully the night (well the morning) didn’t end up a disaster like I’d experienced too many times before. After watching the host mix a couple of drinks, later in the night I successfully mixed chocolate martini for my friends, tequila & green tea, finnish vodka & tonic, absolut (pear) & greensands passion, and absolut (pear) & guava juice. I should consider being a bartender next time I feel the need to change lanes.
Anyway, it’s very important for me to steer clear of shots of tequila because that bloody thing brings out the worst in me and produces the worst hangover in my dictionary, and I did manage to do exactly that. Inevitably, because the house has a pool in its backyard, at the wee hours most of us were soaking wet.
After a course of microwaved lasagna and chicken curry I realized that it was about 4 in the morning and reality seeped in. Woke Victor, who had been sleeping it off after the dip, up and called a cab. Got home around 4.30 and dozed off.
I woke up at 10.30 after Jhony called. Had a proper breakfast (which today means indomie with cheese), dozed off again until 3. No, I didn’t have a terrible hangover, just lack of sleep. See? I told you that the effects are much much nicer these days… compared to the days that my hangover could last for days or weeks that life just passed me by without me really being in it.
Anyway, it’s 6pm, Saturday night. Planning to have another kind of fun tonight: grocery shopping with my fun little family.
