[Blast from the Past] __________flatliner__________

Hey guys, look what I’ve found in my old blog (@LJ).
This was written in 2001 and I remember thinking that this could be made into a song (the ones in parentheses were meant to be the refrains hihihihi).
Gosh, when I read all the stuff I wrote there I really wanted to laugh!

But hey, it’s the story of my life… and no one, not even the bloody government can take that away from me!

__________flatliner__________
the coldness of my room weighing my eyelids…
the pain in my head glued me to my pillow…
heavily i managed to sit down at my bedside…
staring at the pile of clothings at one corner of my room…

popped in two slices of bread to the toaster…
scanning the pages of today’s crisp newspaper…
supplies of carbohydrates from the toasts…
washed down with the orange liquid from the effervescent tablet…

(sat down reading at the bathroom…
bloody cold shower in the morning…
never made me feel better…
i might as well be a flatliner…)

(rode in a purplish cab…
the traffic was not heavy…
but we almost ran into another car…
i might as well be a flatliner…)

did my work on the computer…
had lunch with the usual menu…
had an everchanging mind as a client…
it was time to get away to a nice bookstore!

gazing hungrily at the expensive books…
freezing to the cold evening…
one hour jammed in the traffic…
somebody please treat me like a human!

(staring blankly at my computer screen…
i don’t know where my boyfriend’s been…
if i had to go through today again…
i prefer to be a flatliner)
